The main lodge and three surrounding
cabins provide accommodation for twenty-two guests. After
a day of skiing or hiking, there is nothing better than
to relax in the living room, warmed by the heat of the
wood-stove. Let your mind drift back in time through the
log walls, the ski memorabilia and numerous historic photos
dating back to the early days of skiing
There is no electricity or running water, warm wash water
is always available. At night, enjoy the soft light of
candles and kerosene lamps, or venture outside and feel
the stars close up.
Down comforters, flannel sheets,
towels and wash basins are provided. Heat is maintained
by woodstoves, coal stoves or propane heaters. Lighting
is with kerosene lamps and outhouses for toilet facilities.
Upon arrival all guests may have tea, juice and baked
goods. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet style
(limited quantities) and they are always great! Bread
is made fresh daily at the lodge. Lunch is a build-it-yourself
buffet set out after breakfast.
